1. Product Overview
The SKF TKED1 is a portable handheld measuring instrument specially developed to detect electrical discharge damage risk in rolling bearings. Electrical bearing damage is mainly caused by stray shaft currents in variable frequency drive motors, which create electric arcs inside bearings and lead to fluting, pitting and premature bearing failure. The TKED1 enables maintenance technicians to perform on-site non-invasive testing on rotating equipment without machine shutdown. Widely applied for inspection of inverter-driven motors, fan units, pump systems, wind power equipment and automated production machinery. The supplied unit is brand new original complete set with standard probes and accessories.
