1. Product Overview
TL-N5MY1 is an original Omron square unshielded inductive proximity sensor from the classic TL-N series. It adopts AC 2-wire circuit design with a rated sensing distance of 5 mm. This model outputs Normally Open (NO) switching signal and comes with a standard 2-meter pre-wired cable. It detects ferrous metal targets without physical contact based on high-frequency eddy current induction principle.
The sensor is widely deployed on automated assembly equipment, conveyor machinery, packaging machines, hydraulic equipment and machine tools for metal position detection, stroke limit control and workpiece counting. The square ABS housing supports flexible surface mounting. Built-in surge suppression circuit and IP67 protection rating enable stable operation in ordinary workshop environments with dust, splash water and oil mist.
