1. Product Overview
V2C is an original bare switch disconnector body belonging to Schneider Electric TeSys VARIO series modular load isolation switches. It is the core switching component designed to be matched with KAD, KCD series cabinet door-mounted rotary operating handles, widely used as main power cut-off and load switching units for low-voltage distribution cabinets, machine tools, water pump stations, HVAC ventilation systems and small automated mechanical equipment.
This 3-pole isolator has a conventional thermal current of 25 A, rated for AC circuits up to 690 V. It integrates reliable contact structure and visible isolation clearance inside the compact housing, complying with international electrical isolation safety standards. After assembling padlockable external rotary handles, it realizes Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) safety locking for equipment maintenance. It adopts panel screw fixing installation mode, supports matching extension drive shafts for deep electrical cabinets, and can be equipped with auxiliary contact attachments to feed back switch on/off status signals. With excellent load breaking performance and short-circuit withstand capability, it serves as a mainstream general-purpose isolation switch for indoor industrial power distribution and motor auxiliary circuits.
2. Main Functions

When switched to the OFF position, a clear visible contact gap is formed inside the switch body, which completely disconnects three-phase power supply for downstream loads and eliminates residual voltage risks. It guarantees zero-power maintenance conditions and meets global industrial safety isolation specifications.
- Manual Load On-Off Switching Control
Cooperated with external rotary handles, it manually switches resistive, inductive and motor loads within the rated current range under normal operating conditions, acting as the main incoming power switch for small industrial equipment and control boxes.
- LOTO Padlock Safety Locking Compatibility
Fully compatible with VARIO series padlockable rotary operating handles; the OFF position can be locked by up to 3 padlocks simultaneously, preventing accidental switch closure and unintended energization during overhaul work.
- Short-Time Fault Current Withstand & Fuse Coordination
It can withstand short-time surge fault current and coordinate with external gG/aM backup fuses to limit short-circuit impact, protecting the switch internal contacts from ablation damage under transient grid faults.
- Status Signal Feedback via Optional Auxiliary Contacts
Auxiliary contact blocks can be installed on the side of the switch body to transmit switch closing or opening signals to PLC, indicator lamps and alarm systems for remote running status monitoring.
- Finger-Safe Internal Protection Design
IP20 protection grade prevents maintenance personnel from accidentally touching internal live conductive parts inside electrical cabinets, effectively avoiding electric shock hazards during daily inspection.
