EMF2178IB is an original plug-in fieldbus communication module designed by Lenze, developed for the Automation Interface (AIF) of Lenze drive systems. It implements standard CANopen communication profile compliant with CiA DS301, enabling connection between Lenze inverters/servo drives and CANopen master controllers.
This module directly plugs onto 8200 Vector frequency inverters, 9300 servo series, ECS servo systems and Drive PLC units. It supports cyclic process data exchange, acyclic parameter access and network diagnostic functions. Front-mounted DIP switches allow quick setting of CAN node address and communication baud rate without software configuration. Widely adopted in packaging machinery, textile equipment, automated conveyor lines and material handling systems for distributed multi-axis motion control. 2. Main Functions
