1. Product Overview
KAD1PZ is an original factory rotary door-mounted operating handle accessory developed by Schneider Electric under the TeSys VARIO product portfolio. It is specially designed to match TeSys VARIO and Mini VARIO series switch-disconnector bodies, including V02 to V2 main isolating switches, VN12 and VN20 compact load break switches widely used in low-voltage electrical cabinets.
This complete assembly consists of a rotary knob, operating drive shaft and 60×60mm square front mounting panel with unified ON/OFF status marking. It serves as an external operating mechanism installed on cabinet doors, enabling users to turn on and off the internal main switch without opening the enclosure door. Equipped with built-in multi-padlock locking structure, it fully satisfies Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) safety requirements for equipment maintenance. The integrated sealing structure achieves IP65 dustproof and waterproof performance, adapting to indoor industrial workshops, pumping stations, HVAC equipment, packaging machinery and general low-voltage power distribution systems. 2. Main Functions
- External Cabinet Door Remote Operation
Torque is transmitted via the connecting drive shaft to control the closing and opening actions of the internal switch-disconnector. Operators can complete circuit switching safely outside the electrical cabinet door without touching live components inside the enclosure. Extension shafts can be optionally configured to fit cabinets with different installation depths.
- LOTO Safety Padlock Locking Function
The rotary handle can be securely locked at the OFF position. It allows installation of 1 to 3 padlocks simultaneously, applicable for padlock shackle diameters between 4 mm and 8 mm. Locking prevents accidental switch closure during equipment overhaul, eliminating risks of unintended power supply and electric shock accidents.
